The Command & Control Center was started in District Police Office campus in AR office building, Ongole in the month of December-2015 with a concept of centralized control all over the district for various aspects. One Inspector of Police was designated as in-charge officer to look after the functioning of all projects in Command & Control center. Following are the branches working in Command & Control.

POLICE CONTROL ROOM

5 Civil SIs, 3 ASIs, 4 HCs, 2 WHCs and 5 PSs working round the clock in shifts. The PCR is equipped with 2 VHF sets, 2 land phones for quick communication and the main roll of the PCR is to monitor and coordinate movements of Blue colts, Rakshak and High way Patrolling vehicles to respond to any calls from Public for assistance. PCR will make liaison with police stations and other departments also during floods and other calamities for rescue operations. In addition to this, PCR extending their services to commuters at RTC Bus stand Out post and preventing theft, eve teasing and other crimes.

DIAL-100

1 WASI, 1 HC and 1 PC working round the clock in dial-100 call centre. Dial-100 is a help line for all emergencies for the public. Staff will coordinate police stations and other departments like ICDS, Welfare with public who seek help to respond immediately to rescue and help. In addition to dial-100, call centre will coordinate Woman/Child

E-CHALLAN

E-challan project was inaugurated in Prakasam District in December-2015. All Police Officers in the District including Traffic police are imposing fines on traffic violators by using evidence camera, MPD (Multi Purpose Device) machine without stopping or causing minimum inconvenience to public and vehicular traffic with minimum human interface. E- Challans will be sent to the traffic violators through post with a demand to pay their respective fine at mee-seva/AP online centers or through internet with in 15 days. The amount collected online will be deposited to the government account periodically.

FINS (Finger Print Identification Network System)

Launched in Prakasam District as a Pilot Project during the year- 2016. Suspect can be verified on the spot at any time within 15 Seconds with the FP data available in Prakasam District. If the FP of the suspect is matched, immediately the suspect Details will be displayed on the mobile device. Use of FINS by police avoids unnecessary inconvenience citizens. Its also effectively traces suspects, previously arrested thieves and there by creates deterrence among bad characters and spreads secured feeling among public.

CCTV

Closed circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance system was installed with 36 Cameras in Ongole Town with MP lads of Ongole parliament. 12 cameras installed in Chirala with the help of voluntary organization. CCTV surveillance is monitored centrally by Command & Control Center, Ongole.

Police Whats App

Police Whats app number is inaugurated by Sri CM Thrivikramavarma., IPS. Which enables public to share information regarding any offence, violations and complaints to Cell No. 9121102266 for instant Police action. The details of informant will be kept confidential and will be supervised by Command and Control, Ongole under direct supervision of SP, Prakasam.
